To limit climate change to a 2°C increase we must emit no more than 565 gigatons of carbon globally this century. This is a daunting fact that is becoming the biggest global threat that we face today. We must all act to reduce our Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions in order to slow the warming of our planet. Deforestation is one of the primary factors adding to the additional CO2 into our atmosphere. Every 1.2 seconds, humans destroy a football field's worth of forest land. Deforestation accounts for an alarming 20% of our current greenhouse gas emissions.
