Our Direction

In an effort to preserve our environment, it is important that we become more responsible consumers. We need to acknowledge the finite capacity of our planet and apply the principles of a circular economy that considers the planetary thresholds and the impacts on society. We need to transition as a species to become more sustainable and resilient, to build a better future for tomorrow. Let’s make the grass greener on the other side and make the Earth happy again. This can only be a reality if we, as consumers, demand sustainable products. Each investment we make is a vote for the future, what future will you choose?

Diet

Food is the single strongest lever to optimize human health and environmental sustainability on Earth. Current global food production is one of the biggest threats to climate sustainability, even more so with a growing population. Change must be made to ensure the wellbeing of both people and the planet.

There is clear evidence that plant-based diets are both better for environmental and human health. While some people may believe that ditching meat, dairy and other animal by-products is too extreme a sacrifice, others believe that the personal and environmental benefits make the choice a no-brainer. If you'd  like to know more about a sustainable diet, check out our blog below.

Waste & Recycling

Waste is one of the most significant global issues. Increasing volumes of waste are being generated as the global population increases and the demand for Earth’s resources surge.

It’s not uncommon for waste to be perceived as easily disposable. Society perpetuates consumerism which has led to a dissociation from the natural world and our impact on it.  What we don’t see is that when
we 'throw away' our waste, it doesn't actually go away. Instead, it remains long after we dispose of it, becoming trash that fills up landfills, oceans and precious ecosystems. This is why adopting a circular waste process, such as the 5 R’s (refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, recycle), need to be prioritised to ensure sustainable consumerism. If you'd  like to know more about being a sustainable consumer, check out our blog below.

Fashion and Beauty

The fashion and beauty industries may seem irrelevant to the sustainability movement, but  in reality, it imparts a hefty cost on our environment. The industries directly cause high carbon emissions, immense waste water through production and large amounts of landfill waste. In fact, the fashion industry is responsible for the contamination of oceans, rivers, freshwater sources and soil, and is the source of approximately 20% of global waste water. If you'd  like to know more about sustainable fashion, check out our blog below.

Transport

The transportation sector is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs). The spectrum of transportation, from planes to cars, is largely powered by fossil fuels and majorly contributes to air pollution and increasing GHG’s. In fact, transportation emits more than half of all nitrous oxides in our air, and is a major source of global warming. It’s time we transition to more sustainable modes of transportation. If you'd like to know more about sustainable transportation, check out our blog below.

Energy

The Energy sector is responsible for the most significant portion of pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The fossil fuel industry still drives most of our electrical production through coal, oil and gas, all of which contribute to the various GHG's that are heating up our planet. It's time we divest from fossil fuels and invest in renewable solutions, so that we may transform into a sustainable society. If you'd like to know more about renewable energy sources, check out our blog below.
